Research

Scientific research is the core of all our activities. We are actively pursuing research to enhance and enrich our program as well as to develop new reagents, teaching kits and student research projects.

Some of our activities include:
Cataloguing the microbial bio-diversity in Hyderabad environment. We are interested in understanding the distribution of soil microbes in our city. We use a combination of Microbiology, molecular biology and bioinformatics for this project.

An interesting observation made by an undergraduate student has led us to explore the mechanisms of DNA uptake by bacterial cells during transformation.
