Independent Research Projects
Students interested in doing research projects towards completing their degree requirements or to build research experience are encouraged to apply to our research program.
- Projects encompass a variety of areas from Molecular Biology and Biotechnology to Biochemistry and Microbiology.
- All projects are key components of on going/future research activity. Most of the research can be incorporated into a scientific publication.
- Scientific research articles are discussed and presented by individual students during the project period.
- Flexible options with duration of projects.
- Space is limited.
- Guidance will be provided for completing written project reports.
- Fee concessions to students who join in groups or 3 or more.
A small collection of potential projects include:
Short Duration Projects (2 weeks):
- Analysis of protein profiles in germinating seeds
- Induction and purification of proteins using a bacterial expression system
Medium Duration Projects (3 months):
- Expression, Purification and Analysis of bacterial polymerase protein
- Metagenomic analysis of bacterial species
Long Projects (6 months):
- Molecular Biology and Bioinformatic analysis of Bacterial species
- Developing new methods in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.̃
Testimonial
"I am extremely happy about the way your staff handled the students and they were all praise about them. convey my thanks and best wishes to them. i appreciate your dedication to the field of biotechnology".
---Dr. Vijaya Saradhi, HOD, Biotech Department, KLU."
"I worked as a student intern at Indegenese Biotechnologies during 2007-08. It was a very good learning experience to work at IB. I had an opportunity to learn several molecular biology techniques working on a research project here. My work experience at IB has a great influence on me being considered for a job, that I might soon join as a Research Specialist at U Penn. The staff here at IB are very well qualified, friendly and are very patient in helping students like me with very less prior lab experience".
---Karthik Raj, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
